Good afternoon everyone, my name is Cleidy Gomez, and I’m running to be the next Mayor of New York City and the first woman ever to hold this position. I’m a 32-year-old Dominican and Honduran woman, born and raised in Queens, and I’ve seen the challenges our city faces. I worked with former Mayor Bill de Blasio, where I learned how leadership can truly make a difference. My campaign focuses on three main goals: First, civil rights, making sure every New Yorker can live freely, proudly, and equally under the law. Second, the economy, lowering housing costs, reducing taxes, and making New York a place where people can afford to live, not just survive. Third, the environment, fighting pollution and building a cleaner, greener city for our future. I’m not here to sit behind a desk, I’m here to work for you, with you, and beside you. With your support, and with the help of organizations like NOW, NYGIC, and the New York Women’s Foundation, we can create a Newer New York, one that’s fair, strong, and green. I can ensure if you vote for me to become your mayor together we will build a Newer New York!
